Neben langjährigen Kooperationen mit der Semperoper Dresden („Tanz a la Carte“ (2013 – 2017), „Tod im Tutu” (2017-2018) inszenierte Stearns die kommunal geförderten Projekte von only connect!: „let go: eine theatrale performance“ (2017), „Warten auf Godot (Samuel Beckett, 2018), „Ela: Die Ruhe nach dem Sturm (2019)“ sowie „Die Zoogeschichte (Edward Albee, 2020)“ sowie David Mamets „Oleanna“ (2021). Für die Semperoper Dresden verfasste sie das Libretto des in 2019 uraufgeführten Balletts „Alice – Eine Reise ins Wunderland“ (Semper Zwei) und inszeniert seit 2010 exklusive Schultheaterperformances an der Goetheschule Essen (NoFear!
